Long Day Gone, dangerously addictive, have a sound that is tearing up the rule book for the current British guitar based sound. For the past two years, they have been crafting away at their tracks from their base in the Midlands to bring to the publics' ears music that's simply awe-inspiring. Long Day Gone's depth is derived from the sounds of Incubus, Queen and the Foo Fighters. This depth of character ebbs and flows through LDG's songs that when mixed with their creativity generates their own distinctive sound, from the crushing sounds of Sold To The Fear to the emotionally charged We Are. LDG's ventures cover London, the North West and their home turf in the Midlands. Regular airplay on Kerrang Radio, constant views on Myspace and a large social network ensures a crowd at their shows. Legendary gigs include regularly supporting touring bands at the Little Civic, Wolverhampton; A charity set at The Cotton House, Manchester with the cast of Hollyoaks and a very intimate encounter at Storm in Leicester Square. Just as much as their song writing is prolific, Long Day Gone are also frequent visitors to the recording studio. Working with the producer of The Twang and Editors, Gavin Monaghan, at the Magic Garden and with Joel and Phil at Univibe Studios, their sound recordings have the same quality feel as when you see them live. Long Day Gone are planning to go on tour to support their first single Live Or Die, which has recently finished being re-recorded, and is to be released on download and CD formats soon (dates to follow). LDG are passionate about what they do and what they do is invoke a memorable, lasting experience for the listener with their uncomplicated, rich and energising sound.
